DWL Proudly Receives High Scores on US Dept of Education Proposal

Our team at DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT LIMITS is proud to be very highly rated on our proposal for the U.S. Department of Education's 21st Century Community Learning Centers National Technical Assistance Center.

We rocked this. We offered our heartfelt, authentic response to the RFP. Our ideas were just like us--human-centered, non-traditional, innovative. We offered kick-ass partnerships and trusting relationships toward the greater mission of positive outcomes for young people.

If you know DWL, you know that our deep belief is that adults cannot fuel trust, power and leadership with young people until the adults themselves, at all levels, experience trust, empowerment and leadership.

To offer these experiences, we doubled-down on a strategy to strengthen the relationships and communication among existing TA providers so we can create a client-centered, aligned vision and delivery of technical assistance and coaching services.

This summer we initiated the Youth Development TA Provider Network as part of our big idea to celebrate abundance, elevate our peers and exponentially support the field.

With deep gratitude to our team and to our TA Provider friends in the #outofschooltime, #summerlearning, #afterschool, #youthdevelopment fields like EDC (Education Development Center), Westat, WestEd, Education Northwest, American Institutes for Research, FHI 360, Policy Studies Associates, David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, Mizzen by Mott, National AfterSchool Association (NAA), National Institute on Out-of-School Time (NIOST) and others, all I can say is thank you so much for your commitment to this work.

DWL will move forward with our ideas and energy to support clients who want to be part of what we’re building. We will continue to champion and support adult in youth-centered fields through advising, coaching and targeted growth opportunities. And while we ultimately did not receive this award, this process reaffirmed that we are truly on to something here! I hope you join us. πŸ’›
