Leading with Emotional Intelligence

As part of a contract with the National Afterschool Association, we facilitated the Leading with Emotional Intelligence Fellowship.  This is a six month leadership development professional learning community that was designed to help afterschool leaders build practical skills for supporting staff. Participants gained effective strategies to improve program leadership, staff development, supervision, and interactions with young people.

Participants became more connected to their emotional intelligence and strengthened their ability to:

  • Put People at Ease

  • Balance Between Personal Life and Work

  • Build and Mend Relationships

  • Do Whatever it Takes

  • Improve Decisiveness
